The meaning of ‘Sarvgatam' Brahm’ is the Omnipresent God.ĭoes this mean other gods shouldn’t be worshipped to or shown respect to? Other gods are respectful but certainly, they should not be worshipped because these gods can’t really help their devotees during adverse times. (Here note that Brahm Kaal is the father of Brahma Vishnu and Shiva, who also is mortal) That Omnipresent God only, is worship able through yagnas and He only gives the fruits of one’s actions. In both of these Verses, it is clear that Kaal (Brahm) has originated from the Immortal God. Therefore, it has been proved that the full benefit of yagna is also obtained from the Puran Paramatma only. He (SatPurush - Puran Paramatma, who created whole nature) only provides the benefits of the yagnas. That Omnipresent, Immortal God only is always situated in yagna i.e. Food grains arise from rain rain from yagna yagna arise from auspicious actions and actions arise from Brahm (Kaal) and Brahm (Kaal) originated from the Immortal God. In Bhagavad Gita Chapter 3 Verse 14-15, it is said that living beings arise from food grains. This type of arbitrary worship becomes the cause of their decline. Shrimad Bhagwad Gita chapter 16 verse 23 says that those who worship opposite to the injunctions of the Holy scriptures do not attain happiness and salvation. Because arbitrary worship is prohibited in Gita. ![]() In this way, there is only the law of worship of complete God in Gita, that should be accepted by us. Aadi Ganesha is the eternal God Kabir, who has created whole nature and all souls while Ganesha is born and died, whose parents Shiva and Parvati are also not immortal. The worship of Ganesha is not mentioned in Gita or Vedas, but is said to worship Aadi Ganesha. Now, let's see what our scriptures say about worship of Ganesha? During the British era, the Britishers restricted the gathering of Indians as they were suspicious of people revolting against them. The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi was first celebrated in 1893 by Lokmanya Tilak. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated to mark the day on which Ganesh Ji was brought to life with elephant head after he was killed by God Shiva when Ganesh Ji stopped Shiva from entering the house of Goddess Parvati. During the period of 10 days, people worship the idol of lord Ganesha and on the day of Anant Chaturdashi, that’s the tenth day, the idol of Ganesha is immersed in the nearest water body which is called Visarjan. The festival takes place in the Bhadrapada month of the Hindu calendar and it is celebrated for 10 days. Ganesha Chaturthi is one the most famous festivals in Maharashtra and it is also observed as the birth anniversary of Lord Ganesha. Ganesh Chaturthi falling on Tuesday is called Vinayaka Chaturthi. By the way, Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated every month in Krishna and Shukla Paksha. Maghi Ganesh Jayanti is celebrated in the month of Magha. ![]() The month of Magha is considered very sacred in Hinduism. As per Hindu calendar, it is observed on Shukla Chaturthi during Magha lunar month. When we are talking about Ganesh ji, I would also like to share with you some interesting knowledge about Aadi Ganesh, Ganesha Jayanti is observed as the birth anniversary of Ganesha. Lord Ganesh ji is considered to be the first worship able god in Hinduism.
